Our History > The Jehovah's Witnesses Revival Movement

Our History  The Jehovah's Witnesses Revival Movement After the period called the “ Great Lutheran Reformation ,” believers who rejected the dogma of the Trinity as unbiblical and other basic Catholic teachings that proved to be unbiblical were called under the generic term “ Anabaptists .” They were severely persecuted by both Catholics and Protestants and put to death because they rejected dogmas such as the Trinity, infant baptism, the worship of saints, and the immortality of the soul. They later split into several branches, one of which was called the “ Old Baptists .” Over time, they formed themselves under the name of the “ Christian Connection .” A leading member of their group, a former officer in the United States Army named William Miller , launched the movement that came to be called “ Adventism ” (meaning “waiting”). Theocratic Assembly of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, “The Good Fight of the Faith”

Theocratic Assembly of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, “The Good Fight of the Faith” addressed to the leaders of all groups of worshipers of YEHOWAH . Grace and peace, dear brothers, from YEHOWAH , our dear God and Father, and from Yeshuah (Jesus) His wonderful Son. 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith , lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and for which you confessed the good confession before many witnesses. For this purpose the Son of God was ma...

Elohim: Plural or Singular? by Nehemia Gordon

Elohim: Plural or Singular? According to Nehemia Gordon, a student of Emanuel Tov, a renowned Hebrew scholar: "To determine whether the word Elohim means "God" in the singular or "gods" in the plural, we must examine not only the suffix -im at the end of the word Elohim, but also the adjectives and verbs that accompany it. If the adjectives and verbs are plural, we would be forced to conclude that Elohim is also plural. However, if the adjectives and verbs are singular, we know for sure that Elohim denotes one God. In the very first verse of the Torah (Law), we read the word bara elohim, which means "Elohim (he) created." In Hebrew, the verb bara literally means "he created," which suggests that Elohim should be understood in the singular. If Elohim were plural, the verse would contain the word bar’u elohim “Elohim (they) created” with the plural verb bar’u. In fact, the word Elohim occurs over 2,000 times in the Hebrew Scriptures with the ...
