HOW SHOULD JESUS ​​CHRIST BE VIEWED?

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THIS ON A BIBLICAL BASIS, BECAUSE SATAN TRYES TO DISTRACT US TO THE BROAD ROAD (Matthew 24:5).


The Authority of Our Lord Jesus Christ


“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18


Jesus Christ is called in Scripture as the ANOINTED AUTHORITY, the One who gives God’s people the Law, the Way (Direction), the Truth, and the Life (1 Cor. 9:21; John 14:6; Eph. 1:22; 5:23; Col. 1:18) from his heavenly Father, Jehovah God.


- According to the apostle Paul, the law of God is now the law of Christ and we must live by it. This law cannot be broken, changed, or made invalid, even in the slightest degree, by any brother or group of brothers (1 Corinthians 4:6).


- What Jesus said about himself is still valid today: I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father (Jehovah), but by me.


Jesus is the only Head (Leader) of the Assembly (Church): And (Jehovah) put all things under his feet, and (Jehovah) appointed him to be head over all things to the Assembly.


- For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the Assembly, and he himself is the savior of the body (Assembly).


- He is the Head of the body, the Assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.


Since Jesus Christ is the “Head of the Assembly (Congregation),” he directs the activities of Jehovah God’s people worldwide from heaven and has no need to hand over this HEADship to anyone else or to share HIS HEADSHIP with anyone. Our Lord Jesus Christ has not appointed anyone as Head, not the apostle Peter, not the long line of popes, not even Brothers Russell or Rutherford or the brothers on the Governing Body. No one, no matter how faithful or experienced an overseer, has such a role. Matthew 24:45-47 says nothing of the sort. All who call themselves the head of the congregation, ‘leader’ or ‘governing body,’ or who think of themselves as such, are unscripturally encroaching upon the authority of the leadership of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.


The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the Head of the Assembly, to whom belongs ALL authority in heaven and on earth - and this ALL authority comes from His Father, Jehovah, who saw fit to remain with Jesus Christ forever.


Therefore, there are no human leaders in the Assembly and no one can introduce laws, doctrines or trends that are not in the New Testament. No one can show another way, no one can communicate other truths and no one can give someone eternal life.
