God calls us to shine

TO SHINE it is an intellectual brilliance, of a spiritual nature: „The wise will shine like the brightness of the sky, and those who will teach many to walk in righteousness will shine like the stars, forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3) The method by which we can reach this state of intellectual brilliance is clearly shown in the Book of Proverbs, chapter 4. Wisdom plays a prominent role in this epic of faith, precisely because persevering in the Word of God, that is, meditating on what is written, ennobles man with wisdom. 1 Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction;     pay attention and gain understanding. 2 I give you sound learning,     so do not forsake my teaching. 3 For I too was a son to my father,     still tender, and cherished by my mother. 4 Then he taught me, and he said to me,     “Take hold of my words with all your heart;     keep my commands, and you will live. 5 Get wi...

Immortality of the soul or resurrection of the body: what is the testimony of the New Testament?

What fate awaits the soul when the body dies? Does the soul cry when the body dies? Or is he glad to be freed from "slavery of the body"? Or does it die out with the body and have the same fate in death?   Although the view that the soul survives the death of the body was very common in the world of ancient pagan belief, this was not the view of the early Christian church. The soul is not immortal in itself, according to the Lord Jesus Christ: "Whoever finds (keeps) his soul (ψυχὴ) will lose it, and whoever loses his soul (ψυχὴ) for me will find it." (Matthew 10:39) “He that loveth his soul (ψυχὴ) shall lose it; and he that hateth his soul (ψυχὴ) in this world shall keep it forever.” (John 12:25) Here we read that a man may lose his soul (ψυχὴ) for Jesus—probably extinguished by men: How then could he be immortal?   When the soul dies, it leaves life with the body, enters a state close to the meaning of sleep, and rises at the end of the world with the body, receivi...

Who is the Son of God (Matthew 16:13-16)? The heavenly descent of our Lord Jesus

This article is for my Christian and Muslim friends. He is the most important being in the universe, after the Father. To properly understand this aspect of his personality, we must strictly adhere to his teaching. It should not be made bigger or smaller than it was, is and always will be. To understand what the Bible says about the Son, we must unite with his teaching, not go to the left or to the right of him. This is true faith: stand by what he said. John 8:31 And he said to the Jews who believed in him: If you continue in my word, you are really my disciples; 32. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free”. If the Son of God has made it clear that He came down from heaven, how can some come and deny, yet boast that they are Christians? John 6:38 38. For I did not come down from heaven to do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me. He was, is, and always will be, after the Father, the most important being in the universe. He made it clear that the Father is greate...

Time stands still for the dead (When will we go to paradise?)

When will we be immortal? The most important is: our salvation is given by God, through faith, through grace, through His Son, Jesus Christ. The grace he offers is accompanied by a great gift, eternal life, which begins at the resurrection. Let us strive for a clear vision, let us take into account every biblical detail. The Bible's answer is clear: only at the resurrection, when we will have eternal life. "Do not marvel at this: for the hour is coming in which all those in the graves will hear his voice, And they will go out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation". (John 5:28,29) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) If eternal life (immortality) is only in the resurrection, what about this word: “Then he said, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom! J...

About the only true God (John 17:3) (part 1)

About the only true God (John 17:3) 1. According to the Bible, it is very clear that there is only one God, the Father. Our Lord Jesus did not know this otherwise, as we read: "And eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and the one you sent, Jesus Christ." (John 17:3) But as we can see, next to God the Father, it is very important to get to know "Someone": His Messenger. Well, the apostle John focused on this at the end of his life, when he edited the account of the Gospel named after him. It was very important for this, because at that time dangerous sects reared their heads among established Christianity: some completely rejected The Old Testament books as the Word of God, and others were very selective and only took from it what they liked (and they also presented it incorrectly ). Some of them did not even realize that the Apostle John published the Gospel precisely because of their view, in such a way that they would understand who Jesus was before he...
